Cyrille Aimée a grandi dans un foyer multilingue bercé par la musique, où la danse était une activité quotidienne, sur fond des sons afro-caribéens de la République Dominicaine, le pays de sa mère.
En déménageant à New York, son talent lui a rapidement valu une réputation parmi ses pairs comme une interprète de chanson sans égale. Elle a joué et enregistré avec Roy Hargrove et a volé la vedette devant le public notoirement difficile à satisfaire du Théâtre Apollo de Harlem. Steven Sondheim l'a invitée à jouer dans un hommage au City Centre de New York, accompagnée par Wynton Marsalis. Son album de 2019, Move On, comportait des versions des chansons de Sondheim qui ont reçu les éloges de Sondheim lui-même, et sa version de "Marry Me a Little" a été nominée pour un Grammy Award en 2019.
Renouant avec New York pour relier tous les points, elle s'est associée au producteur/multi-instrumentiste Jake Sherman, et ensemble, ils ont créé son dernier album, A Fleur de Peau, qui sera publié sur un nouveau label, le label londonien Whirlwind Recordings.
Le Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra (LJO) est un ensemble dynamique qui insuffle de la vie au coeur du paysage musical de l'Europe. Ces musiciens, qui ont une passion commune pour l'innovation et l'improvisation, ont créé une tapisserie sonore qui transcende les frontières.
Les artistes Michel Camilo, Bob Mintzer, The New York Voices et Freddy Cole ont partagé la scène avec le LJO, pour ne citer que quelques-uns.

Cyrille Aimée grew up in a multilingual household full of music where dancing was an everyday activity, sound tracked by the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of the bachata and merengue from her mother’s native Dominican Republic.
Followed by a move to New York City, her talents quickly gained her a reputation among her peers as a fearless, warm, witty improviser and a matchless interpreter of song: she performed and recorded with Roy Hargrove, stole the show in front of the notoriously hard-to-please crowd at the Harlem Apollo. A contract with Mack Avenue Records, the home of many of the US premier league jazz artists, resulted in two highly acclaimed albums which attracted the attention of one of the premier league songwriters - Steven Sondheim. The musical theatre icon invited her to star alongside the legendary Bernadette Peters in an Encores Special Presentation tribute at New York’s City Centre in November 2013, backed by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra, which was hailed by the New York Daily News as “a revelation.”
Linking back to New York to connect up all the dots, she teamed up with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jake Sherman, and together they have created her latest album, à Fleur de Peau.

Nach ihrem Umzug nach New York City erlangte ihr Talent schnell Anerkennung unter ihren Kollegen als unvergleichliche Interpretin von Liedern.
